How we work
Do you have closets full of clothes that you or your children do not wear or they have out-grown the clothes you bought for them a month ago? Then Other Mothers is for you.
We buy new and gently used children's clothing, (sizes preemie to 14) Maternity, Trendy Teens and current women's clothing, toys, baby items, baby and children's furniture.
We are not a consignment store; but rather pay you in-store credit or cash for your items the same or next day for the items we are able to accept. Your store credit is put on an account and good for 1 year. Cash requests not picked up within 30 days are automatically put into store credit for you. (Cash payouts may vary due to the covid-19 closure, please check to see if we are paying cash before bringing in your items if you want the cash option.) We try to maintain high standards for our customers so items should be FRESHLY LAUNDERED and SMOKE FREE. We can not accept items that are overly loved, with stains, tears, missing buttons, or that are stretched out, pilled or out of style. Items must be free from stickers, tape, pins and hangers. The volume of our business prevents us from taking the extra time in washing and handling these items. Other Mothers reserves the right not to accept items due to style, recall, safety concerns and inventory levels. No appointment necessary, we accept items Monday thru Saturday during regular business hours. Except for our 25 Cent Sale weekends. (see Giving Back page) We encourage a one tote limit on the amount of items you can bring in at one time but the limit you can bring in is no more than 1 of our 18 gallon totes. For smaller drop-offs as well as baby furniture and equipment, you can expect prompt, same day service on a first come first serve basis. Larger drop-offs can take up to 24 hours to process. Only one trade-in per customer per day. We take all seasons, if inventory allows, but pay a higher percentage for in-season items. Summer items in-season February 1 through July 31. Winter items in-season August 1 through January 31. Items we are not able to accept can be donated to our 25 Cent Sale with 100% of the proceeds going to Children's Miracle Network.
